Rough Sleepers Team Networking
Volunteers attended the Rough Sleepers Team Hub in Newcastle-under-Lyme, as part of our ongoing efforts to strengthen community partnerships.
North Staffordshire Civil Response have today been to the Rough Sleepers Team Hub in Newcastle-under-Lyme as part of our ongoing efforts to strengthen community partnerships and support some of the most vulnerable members of society.
The visit focused on meaningful community engagement and collaborative working, bringing together a range of partner agencies who are all dedicated to supporting individuals experiencing homelessness. Throughout the morning, we had the opportunity to engage directly with frontline services, gaining a deeper understanding of the challenges faced by rough sleepers and the organisations working tirelessly to assist them.
Discussions centred around identifying gaps in current provision—particularly in areas where agencies may face limitations due to funding constraints, staffing pressures, or resource shortages. North Staffordshire Civil Response is committed to playing a proactive role in bridging those gaps, offering flexible support and additional capacity where it is most needed.
By building stronger relationships with partner organisations and listening to the needs of those on the ground, the team aims to enhance its ability to respond effectively and compassionately. Whether through welfare support, logistical assistance, or simply providing an extra pair of hands, the organisation continues to explore ways it can complement existing services and make a tangible difference within the community.
This engagement marks another step forward in North Staffordshire Civil Response’s mission to support local communities, working alongside partners to ensure that no one is left without help when they need it most.
